Job Overview – VP/AVP of Operations:
Our client is seeking an experienced VP or AVP of Operations to join their dynamic team in Greenwich, CT. In this pivotal role, you will oversee general Trade Operations and act as the key point person for an exciting new product launch.
Location: Greenwich, CT
Compensation: $140,000 – $200,000/year + bonus
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Responsibilities as the VP/AVP of Operations:
- Operational Leadership: Serve as the operational point person.
- Deal Structuring: Oversee operational deal structuring within company systems and frameworks.
- Trade Operations: Handle trade allocations, cash management, and weekly liquidity analysis.
- Reconciliation: Review daily trades, positions, cash, and P&L reconciliations between the firm, prime brokers, and administrators.
- Process Enhancement: Enhance processes utilizing internal and external third-party fund administrators efficiently.
- Asset Coverage: Acquire skills in other asset classes such as bonds, repo, credit default swaps, and currency swaps.
- Project Work: Contribute to project work and support junior colleagues as directed by the Head of Operations.
Qualifications for the VP/AVP of Operations:
- Experience: 5-16 years of experience in a previous credit manager's environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in various trade operations skills including bank debt, fixed income, FX, fund of funds, PE, bonds, repos, CDS, and swaps.
- P&L Knowledge: Strong P&L attribution knowledgebase, the more technical the better.
- Leadership: Proven leadership abilities with a team-oriented approach.
- Excel Skills: Intermediate Excel skills with a focus on analytical and data analysis.
