Compensation: $160,000 – $185,000/year + bonus

Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Atlantic Group is hiring a Strategic Finance Associate in New York, NY for our client, supporting financial modeling, performance analysis, and strategic planning within an investment environment. In this role, you will analyze fund and portfolio performance, support forecasting and capital planning, and deliver insights to senior leadership. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced Excel and financial modeling techniques, including DCF, LBO, and credit analysis, to support decision-making and risk assessment.

Responsibilities as the Strategic Finance Associate:

  • Financial Modeling: Build and maintain complex financial models, including credit, DCF, and LBO analyses to support strategic and investment decisions.
  • Fund Performance Analysis: Evaluate portfolio performance through scenario analysis and risk assessment across investment vehicles.
  • Strategic Planning: Support forecasting, capital allocation, and long-term planning initiatives at both the fund and corporate level.
  • Deal & Portfolio Support: Analyze transactions, exits, and recapitalizations to assess financial impact and support decision-making.
  • Executive Reporting: Prepare high-quality materials and presentations for senior leadership, investors, and key stakeholders.

Qualifications for the Strategic Finance Associate:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field is required.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience across investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, FP&A, or transaction advisory is required.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in private equity, private credit, or financial services environments is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel with strong financial modeling experience across credit, DCF, and LBO frameworks is required.
  • Skills & Attributes: Demonstrates strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills with the ability to operate both independently and in a collaborative, high-performance environment.
