Job Overview – Staff Accountant (Corporate Accounting)
Compensation: $65,000 – $70,000/year + bonus
Location: Boston, MA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Staff Accountant (Corporate Accounting) in Boston, MA for our client, supporting full-cycle general ledger accounting, intercompany reporting, and financial close processes within a corporate environment. In this hybrid role, you will manage accounts payable and receivable, perform bank reconciliations, assist with consolidations and intercompany eliminations, and leverage NetSuite and advanced Excel to ensure accurate financial reporting and internal control compliance.
Responsibilities as the Staff Accountant (Corporate Accounting):
- General Ledger & Month-End Close: Support full monthly close including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and maintenance of accounting schedules.
- AP, AR & Cash Management: Process accounts payable and receivable, execute weekly check runs in NetSuite, and manage cash activity and bank reconciliations.
- Intercompany & Consolidations: Record and reconcile intercompany transactions and assist with consolidation and elimination entries.
- Financial Reporting & Budget Support: Assist with financial reporting, budget preparation, and variance analysis to support management decisions.
- Audit & Controls Compliance: Support external audits and contribute to internal controls documentation and policy adherence.
Qualifications for the Staff Accountant (Corporate Accounting):
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
- Experience: 1-3 years of corporate or public accounting experience, including general ledger exposure, within a professional services, real estate, or corporate environment.
- Industry Knowledge: Working knowledge of GAAP, month-end close processes, intercompany accounting, and financial reporting fundamentals.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in NetSuite and advanced Excel required, including Pivot Tables and financial reporting analysis.
- Skills & Attributes: Organized and detail-oriented professional with strong analytical abilities, effective communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
