Job Overview – Staff Accountant
Compensation: $65,000 – $70,000/year + bonus
Location: Easton, PA
Schedule: Monday – Friday (Primarily Onsite, Flexible Hours)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Staff Accountant in Easton, PA for our client, a growing manufacturing organization. This role supports day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, and financial reporting within a collaborative finance team. The ideal candidate has a strong accounting foundation, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and is looking to grow within a stable organization that offers long-term career advancement.
Responsibilities as the Staff Accountant:
- General Accounting: Prepare journal entries, maintain the general ledger, and perform account reconciliations to support accurate financial reporting.
- Month-End Close: Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities while preparing supporting schedules and financial analyses.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash applications, and other day-to-day accounting functions.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial reports, analyzing variances, and maintaining accurate accounting records in accordance with company policies.
- Audit & Compliance: Support internal and external audits while ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
- Process Improvement: Assist with system enhancements, cross-functional projects, and initiatives designed to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency.
Qualifications for the Staff Accountant:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Experience: 1–3 years of accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience supporting month-end close and general ledger accounting, along with manufacturing exposure, is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software or ERP systems is required. Experience with CSI, Avanti, or similar ERP systems is a plus.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with excellent attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a desire to grow within a collaborative finance team.
