Job Overview – Staff Accountant
Compensation: $70,000 – $85,000/year

Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Staff Accountant in Chester County, PA for our client. In this role, you will support general accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close while partnering with accounting leadership in a growing company. This opportunity is ideal for an early-career accounting professional seeking hands-on experience, long-term growth, and advancement into a Senior Accountant role.
Responsibilities as the Staff Accountant:
- General Accounting: Support daily accounting activities, including general ledger work, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Month-End Close: Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Financial Reporting: Compile financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Account Analysis: Perform account analysis and variance review to identify discrepancies and support financial accuracy.
- Audit & Team Support: Maintain organized documentation, assist with audits, and contribute to overall accounting team operations.
Qualifications for the Staff Accountant:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
- Experience: Up to 2 years of public accounting, audit, or corporate accounting experience.
- Industry Knowledge: Foundational understanding of general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting systems or ERP platforms is preferred.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, organization, and a proactive, team-oriented approach with a willingness to learn are essential.
