Job Overview – Senior Tax Analyst:
Join our team as a Senior Tax Analyst in New York. This hybrid role offers an opportunity to work with high-net-worth clients, focusing on 1040s, trusts, and estate returns, among other responsibilities. We value work-life balance and provide room for growth in a small firm setting.
Location: New York, NY
Compensation: $95,000-$115,000/year + bonus
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Responsibilities as the Senior Tax Analyst:
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, subchapter S, trusts, gift, and private foundations.
- Prepare and review quarterly tax estimate projections and foreign filing disclosures/reports (FBAR, 926, 8621, 8886, 8865).
- Respond to federal and state tax notices.
- Communicate effectively with managers and meet various tax deadlines.
Qualifications for the Senior Tax Analyst:
- 4-6 years’ experience in preparing and reviewing returns in the high-net-worth space, preferably with public accounting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; Master’s degree in Taxation is a plus.
- CPA or EA preferred, or actively pursuing licensure.
- Experience with GoSystem tax software, BNA income tax planner, QuickBooks, CCH Document, IntelliForms, and Microsoft Office is a plus.
