Job Overview – Senior Project Accountant (Hybrid):
Take on a key role as a Senior Project Accountant with our client in Boston, MA, overseeing financial management for natural gas and solar power projects through development, construction, and operation. This hybrid role offers opportunities for growth while ensuring accurate financial reporting on high-impact initiatives.
Compensation: $105,000 – $120,000/year + bonus
Location: Boston, MA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Responsibilities as the Senior Project Accountant:
- Accounting Operations: Oversee daily accounting tasks, including revenue, expenses, and fixed asset operations, ensuring accuracy in sub-ledger and general ledger reconciliations.
- Revenue Management: Record weekly project revenues and collaborate with the commercial team to reconcile daily margin reports.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly reconciliations and financial statements, and support the annual audit process.
- Stakeholder Communication: Assist Project Controllers in creating monthly stakeholder reports, including variance analyses and detailed explanations.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for management reporting.
Qualifications for the Senior Project Accountant:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required (CPA preferred).
- Experience: At least 3 years of General Accounting experience (public accounting experience is a plus).
- Skills: Strong organizational, detail-oriented, and prioritization skills.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (NetSuite and Workday is advantageous).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
