Compensation: $125,000 – $175,000/year + bonus

Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior Operations Associate in New York, NY for our client, supporting investment operations, trade operations, fund accounting, and operational risk within a growing investment management environment. This highly visible role will partner across operations, finance, treasury, accounting, and investment teams to support daily trading activity, strengthen operational controls, and drive process improvements. The ideal candidate will bring hedge fund operations experience, exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, and a strong interest in leveraging technology to improve operational efficiency.
Responsibilities as the Senior Operations Associate:
- Investment Operations: Support the full trade lifecycle, including trade processing, settlement, reconciliations, corporate actions, and cash management activities.
- Operational Controls: Monitor operational processes, identify risks, and strengthen internal controls to support accurate and efficient business operations.
- Fund Accounting Support: Partner with accounting and finance teams to support fund accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and valuation-related activities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with investment, treasury, finance, accounting, and external service providers to resolve operational issues and improve workflows.
- Process Improvement: Lead or participate in automation initiatives, system enhancements, and operational improvement projects that increase efficiency and reduce operational risk.
- Reporting & Analysis: Analyze operational data, monitor key processes, and provide insights that support informed business and investment decisions.
Qualifications for the Senior Operations Associate:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field is required.
- Experience: 4+ years of experience in hedge fund operations, investment operations, or fund operations is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience supporting investment operations, trade settlements, reconciliations, fund accounting, treasury, or operational risk within an investment management environment is required.
- Technical Skills: Strong Excel skills are required, and experience with trading platforms, portfolio accounting systems, data analysis tools, and automation or process improvement initiatives is highly preferred.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to think critically, manage multiple priorities, collaborate across teams, and identify opportunities to improve operational processes are required.
