Job Overview – Senior Operations Associate (Investment Operations)
Compensation: $130,000 – $150,000/year + bonus
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior Operations Associate (Investment Operations) in New York, NY for our client, supporting trade lifecycle management, reconciliations, and operational processes across structured credit, loans, repos, and fixed income portfolios. In this hybrid role, you will partner with portfolio management, administrators, and prime brokers to ensure accurate books and records while driving automation and process improvements in a growing investment platform.
Responsibilities as the Senior Operations Associate (Investment Operations):
- Trade & Portfolio Operations: Support daily trade workflows, pricing, allocations, and lifecycle events across credit and fixed income products.
- Reconciliations & Books Oversight: Reconcile cash, positions, and P&L with administrators and prime brokers to ensure accuracy.
- Credit & Structured Product Support: Process activity across CLOs, loans, repos, and other credit instruments while monitoring portfolios.
- Process Improvement & Automation: Drive operational enhancements to improve efficiency, controls, and scalability.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Partner with internal teams, service providers, and counterparties to resolve operational issues.
Qualifications for the Senior Operations Associate (Investment Operations):
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
- Experience: 5-8 years of investment operations experience within a hedge fund, asset manager, or financial institution, with exposure to credit or structured products.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of trade lifecycle processes and instruments including CLOs, syndicated and private loans, repos, and other fixed income products.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel proficiency required, with experience using investment operations platforms such as FIS, IVP, or similar OMS and reconciliation systems preferred.
- Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented and proactive professional with a process improvement mindset, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively across teams and external partners.
