Job Overview – Senior Manager, Technical Accounting (Hybrid):
Our client seeks an experienced Senior Manager of Technical Accounting in Woburn, MA. This hybrid role oversees financial reporting compliance, manages accounting policies, ensures U.S. GAAP alignment, and provides guidance on complex financial matters.
Compensation: $150,000 – $160,000/year + bonus + equity
Location: Woburn, MA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Responsibilities as the Senior Manager, Technical Accounting:
- Research: Provide U.S. GAAP-compliant solutions for complex accounting issues and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.
- Financial Reporting: Manage key accounting issues, SEC reporting developments, and compliance with internal accounting policies.
- Policy Compliance: Support U.S. and international business units by developing and monitoring compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Debt Reporting: Oversee standalone reporting for securitized debt portfolios, prepare financial statements, and manage external audits.
- Leadership & Training: Recruit, manage, and develop team members, fostering a collaborative environment to meet business objectives.
Qualifications for the Senior Manager, Technical Accounting:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required (MBA or Master’s in Accountancy preferred).
- Certification: CPA required.
- Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years in Public Accounting and 5+ years in a Supervisory role.
- Specialization: Experience with lease accounting (ASC 606/ASC 842) and Oracle preferred.
- Skills: Strong project management, leadership, and public accounting experience (M&A and financial reporting expertise preferred).
- Travel: Up to 10% travel may be required.
