Job Overview – Senior Manager of Financial Reporting:
Take charge of SEC financial reporting with our client as a Senior Manager of Financial Reporting in Chester, PA. This hybrid role is ideal for a seasoned professional with expertise in financial disclosures, technical accounting, and regulatory compliance. In this position, you will oversee SEC filings, manage external reporting obligations, and ensure accurate financial statement preparation. You will also collaborate across departments to enhance reporting processes and maintain compliance with evolving industry standards.

Compensation: $140,000 – $150,000/year + bonus
Location: Chester, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Responsibilities as the Senior Manager of Financial Reporting:

  • SEC Filings & Compliance: Prepare and file SEC reports (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) with accuracy and regulatory adherence.
  • Financial Statements & Disclosures: Oversee financial statement preparation, including employee benefit plans and earnings materials.
  • Regulatory & ESG Reporting: Stay ahead of SEC regulations and ESG disclosure requirements, ensuring compliance.
  • M&A & Strategic Support: Provide financial insights and compliance guidance for mergers, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives.
  • Internal Controls & Audit: Maintain SOX compliance, strengthen internal controls, and coordinate audits.
  • Financial Analysis & Advisory: Conduct accounting research, analyze industry trends, and advise leadership on reporting strategies.

Qualifications for the Senior Manager of Financial Reporting:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required (MBA preferred).
  • Certification: CPA required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of accounting and finance experience, including at least 2 years in a management role with expertise in US GAAP and SEC reporting.
  • Technical Skills: Extensive expertise in SEC regulations, technical accounting, financial statement consolidation, and SOX compliance, with experience in Workiva WDesk considered a plus.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience with IFRS, ESG reporting, and M&A financial reporting, with an auditing background as a plus.
  • Skills & Attributes: Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills, with the ability to analyze financial data, interpret policies, and produce high-quality reports.
  • Technology Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and reporting systems.
