Job Overview – Senior Fund Accountant (Private Equity):
Compensation: $110,000 – $150,000/year + bonus
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior Fund Accountant (Private Equity) in New York, NY for our client, supporting fund accounting and financial reporting across private equity vehicles. This in-office role focuses on NAV review, investor allocations, fee calculations, and GAAP-compliant financials, including support for SEC filings. You will partner closely with investment, legal, compliance, and audit teams while managing reporting across U.S. GAAP and Lux GAAP fund structures.
Responsibilities as the Senior Fund Accountant:
- NAV & Financial Review: Review monthly and quarterly NAV workbooks and investor statements to ensure GAAP and transactional accuracy.
- Financial Statements & SEC Reporting: Review quarterly and annual financial statements under U.S. GAAP and Lux GAAP, including support for registrant reporting and SEC filings (10-Q and 10-K).
- Investor Activity & Allocations: Reconcile investor subscriptions, redemptions, capital activity, and ownership allocations.
- Fees & Performance Calculations: Compute and review management fees, performance fees, servicing fees, and profit and loss allocations.
- Audit & Collaboration: Partner with investment, legal, compliance, and audit teams to support deal activity, regulatory filings, and quarterly and year-end audits.
Qualifications for the Senior Fund Accountant:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Licensure: Active CPA license required.
- Experience: 3-5 years of private fund or public accounting experience with hands-on exposure to private equity fund structures.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting (10-Q, 10-K), with advanced Excel skills required and exposure to Workiva or Lux GAAP preferred.
- Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented, quality-focused professional with strong communication and interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
