Job Overview – Senior Fund Accountant (Private Equity):
Elevate your career as a Senior Fund Accountant with our client in New York, NY. In this hybrid role, you’ll lead financial reporting, capital calls, and performance analysis for private equity and real estate funds. Collaborate with finance teams, limited partners, and investment professionals to drive fund operations and deliver impactful insights, ensuring excellence in fund management.
Compensation: $90,000 – $120,000/year + bonus
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Responsibilities as the Senior Fund Accountant:
- Fund Oversight: Serve as the primary contact for assigned funds, managing financial reporting, capital calls, distributions, and related analyses.
- Performance Metrics: Calculate and report quarterly profit and loss allocations, fund performance metrics, and return analyses.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements and schedules for Advisory Committee reviews and quarterly fund updates.
- Audit Collaboration: Work with external auditors to ensure timely and compliant annual audits.
- Portfolio Management: Review portfolio investment valuations and support co-investment vehicle operations.
- Invoice Management: Oversee invoice coding and review across multiple fund entities to ensure accuracy.
Qualifications for the Senior Fund Accountant:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required (CPA required).
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in fund accounting, public accounting, or financial services, with a focus on private equity or real estate funds preferred.
- Skills: Strong accounting knowledge, excellent communication skills, and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools.
- Attributes: Self-motivated, collaborative, and quality-conscious, with a commitment to delivering accurate and timely results.
