Atlantic Group is representing a top client hiring a Senior Fund Accountant (Private Credit) in New York, NY (Hybrid). This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced accounting professional with expertise in private credit, structured products, and CLOs. You’ll manage third-party administrators, oversee NAVs, capital activity, LP allocations, and waterfall modeling, while also supporting audits and new fund launches through ongoing process enhancements.

Responsibilities as the Senior Fund Accountant:

  • Fund Oversight: Manage NAVs, capital calls, distributions, LP allocations, and fee/waterfall calculations through third-party administrators.
  • Performance & Compliance: Calculate IRRs, MOICs, and returns while ensuring alignment with partnership agreements and expense policies.
  • Audit & Regulatory Support: Oversee audits and assist with regulatory filings such as Form PF and ADV.
  • Fund Launches & Liquidity: Support new fund formation and monitor liquidity, capital availability, and credit facilities.
  • Investor & Internal Support: Respond to investor inquiries and assist with reporting, marketing materials, and data requests.
  • Process Optimization: Lead workflow documentation and support tech implementations (e.g., OMS, Geneva, Investran) to improve efficiency.

Qualifications for the Senior Fund Accountant:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Certification: CPA required.
  • Experience: 6-9 years of fund accounting experience within private credit or private equity, including NAV calculations, capital calls and distributions, LP allocations, and waterfall modeling.
  • Industry Knowledge: Proven experience with private credit, structured credit products, liquid credit, and CLOs, with familiarity in closed-end fund structures preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Excel, with preferred experience in Investran, Geneva, Power BI, or Alteryx for enhanced reporting and automation.
  • Skills & Attributes: Analytical and detail-oriented with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
