Job Overview – Senior Fund Accountant:
Compensation: $150,000 – $160,000/year + bonus
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)

Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior Fund Accountant for our client in New York, NY. In this role, you will manage NAV processes, reconcile P&L allocations, and ensure accurate reporting for private funds. You will also review incentive fees, capital calls, and distributions while working with fund administrators, auditors, and internal teams. Ideal candidates bring strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, fund administration experience, and the ability to collaborate across finance, investor relations, and compliance.

Responsibilities as the Senior Fund Accountant:

  • NAV Oversight: Manage NAV finalization, including P&L reconciliation and investor allocations, while resolving discrepancies with fund administrators.
  • Fee & Capital Transactions: Review management fees, carried interest, capital calls, distributions, and allocation notices for accuracy and compliance.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements under U.S. GAAP and coordinate with auditors during year-end reviews.
  • Performance & Forecasting: Deliver monthly attribution reporting, NAV estimates, fund forecasts, and ad hoc analysis.
  • Regulatory & Investor Reporting: Support regulatory filings, investor letters, and firm-level reporting requirements.
  • Cross Collaboration: Partner with Operations, Investor Relations, Tax, and Compliance teams to drive business initiatives and process improvements.

Qualifications for the Senior Fund Accountant:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • Experience: 5-10 years of fund accounting experience in private equity, hedge funds, or combined public and private accounting environments.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong U.S. GAAP expertise with proven experience in fund reporting.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and fund accounting systems, with experience in financial modeling and reporting tools preferred.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to collaborate and meet deadlines in fast-paced environments.
