Job Overview – Senior FP&A Analyst
Compensation: $130,000–$150,000/year + bonus
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior FP&A Analyst in New York, NY for our client, supporting financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and performance analysis within a growing real estate investment organization. This newly created role will help build and enhance the FP&A function while partnering across finance and operations to improve financial visibility, reporting, and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate has 4–6 years of FP&A or corporate finance experience with strong financial modeling, analytical, and cross-functional capabilities.
Responsibilities as the Senior FP&A Analyst:
- Financial Planning: Prepare annual budgets, long-term financial plans, forecasts, and financial projections across business operations.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze actual results against forecasts and budgets across financial statements while identifying key business drivers and performance trends.
- Financial Reporting: Perform monthly financial and variance analysis while developing management reporting and actionable financial insights.
- Strategic Analysis: Evaluate revenue, expenses, operating performance, growth opportunities, and cost-saving initiatives to support business decisions.
- Business Partnership: Partner with finance and operational teams to support financial analysis, reporting, planning, and strategic initiatives.
- Process Improvement: Enhance financial planning, reporting, data, and systems processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and financial visibility.
Qualifications for the Senior FP&A Analyst:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required, with an MBA preferred.
- Experience: 4–6 years of FP&A, corporate finance, financial planning, or related experience is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial statement analysis, variance analysis, cash flow planning, and management reporting is required, with real estate experience preferred.
- Technical Skills: Advanced financial modeling and Microsoft Excel skills are required, with experience using financial planning, ERP, reporting, or comparable business systems preferred.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration skills are required.
