Job Overview – Senior Financial Reporting Analyst (Remote):
Take on a key financial reporting role with our client, focusing on external reporting, compliance, and process improvement. In this fully remote position, you’ll contribute to financial statement preparation, ensure regulatory adherence, and collaborate across departments to enhance reporting accuracy. This role offers the opportunity to refine best practices, support technical accounting initiatives, and drive efficiencies in financial reporting processes.

Compensation: $100,000 – $110,000/year + bonus
Location: Remote Role (Eastern or Central Time Zone Preferred)
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Remote)

Responsibilities as the Senior Financial Reporting Analyst:

  • SEC Filings & Compliance: Prepare and review Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K using Workiva, ensuring accuracy and timely submissions.
  • Financial Analysis & MD&A Disclosures: Analyze revenue, expenses, and cash flow to support Management’s Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) disclosures.
  • Audit & Regulatory Support: Manage audit requests and ensure compliance with SEC regulations in collaboration with internal and external auditors.
  • Cross-Collaboration: Work closely with Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and Investor Relations to gather and validate financial data.
  • Research & Implementation: Monitor U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting updates, assess new accounting standards, and assist with implementation.
  • Optimization & Investor Relations: Identify trends from peer SEC filings, contribute to reporting improvements, and assist in investor presentations and earnings releases.

Qualifications for the Senior Financial Reporting Analyst:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in public accounting or corporate financial reporting, with hands-on experience in SEC filings and regulatory compliance.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting standards, and financial systems (Workiva and Workday Financials experience a plus).
  • Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented and highly analytical, with strong communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Other Requirements: Minimal travel required (one trip per year).
