Job Overview – Senior Financial Planning Analyst (Hybrid):
Step into the hybrid role of Senior Financial Planning Analyst in Philadelphia, PA, where you will monitor, analyze, and budget administrative expenses and headcount. You'll collaborate with business partners to create detailed reports, prepare budgets, and contribute to financial planning across the organization.
Compensation: $90,000 – $101,000/year + bonus
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Responsibilities as the Senior Financial Planning Analyst:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly general ledger closing entries, variance analysis, and reports for management, summarizing trends and business area impacts.
- Budget Management: Manage and maintain annual budgets, coordinating adjustments for cost centers, reorganizations, and employee transfers.
- Forecasting: Maintain monthly forecasting processes, working closely with business partners to highlight risks and opportunities.
- Variance Analysis: Review monthly variance reports, provide explanations, and share specialized headcount and expense performance insights.
- Collaboration: Act as a trusted financial advisor to business units, providing transparency and support for financial and business performance.
Qualifications for the Senior Financial Planning Analyst:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Management.
- Experience: 4-5 years of Financial Planning, Budgeting, and Analysis experience required (preferably in health insurance or services).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word), PeopleSoft, and Hyperion Essbase.
- Other: Strong communication and presentation skills, self-motivated, and able to work independently with competing priorities.
