Job Overview – Senior Corporate Accountant:
Compensation: $85,000 – $90,000/year + bonus
Location: Chester County, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior Corporate Accountant in Chester County, PA for our client. This hybrid role supports corporate accounting and financial reporting activities within a publicly traded environment, including general ledger management, monthly close, SEC reporting support, and SOX compliance. You will work closely with finance, audit, and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial results, strong internal controls, and continuous process improvement in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

Responsibilities as the Senior Corporate Accountant:

  • General Ledger & Close: Maintain the corporate general ledger in accordance with U.S. GAAP, including preparing and reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results to support internal reporting and external disclosures.
  • SEC & Audit Support: Prepare audit-ready workpapers and support SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K, in coordination with internal and external auditors.
  • SOX & Internal Controls: Assist with documentation, testing, and ongoing compliance with internal control over financial reporting under SOX 404.
  • Process Improvement & Collaboration: Partner cross-functionally to improve accounting processes, support budgeting activities, and enhance reporting accuracy.

Qualifications for the Senior Corporate Accountant:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
  • Experience: 2+ years of public or corporate accounting experience in a publicly traded environment, with real estate or complex entity exposure preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, SEC filings, and internal controls, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with public company reporting cycles, audit processes, and SOX compliance frameworks.
  • Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented, analytical professional with strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
