Job Overview – Senior Billing Specialist
Compensation: $90,000 – $110,000/year + bonus
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior Billing Specialist in Philadelphia, PA for our client, supporting billing operations, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, and financial reporting. This role will manage the full billing cycle, ensure accurate and timely invoicing, resolve account discrepancies, and partner with internal teams to improve billing processes and support cash flow objectives.
Responsibilities as the Senior Billing Specialist:
- Billing Management: Generate, review, and process customer invoices while ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile customer accounts and investigate billing discrepancies, short payments, and outstanding balances.
- Accounts Receivable: Monitor aging reports and assist with resolving outstanding billing and collection matters.
- Customer Support: Respond to invoice, payment, account balance, and billing-related inquiries while resolving issues efficiently.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain billing, receivables, unbilled activity, and related financial reports.
- Process Improvement: Partner with finance and operational teams to strengthen billing controls, documentation, accuracy, and workflow efficiency.
Qualifications for the Senior Billing Specialist:
- Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Experience:10+ years of billing, accounts receivable, or related accounting experience is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience managing full-cycle billing, account reconciliations, invoicing, and receivables is required.
- Technical Skills: Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency and experience with ERP or accounting systems are required.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, problem-solving, time management, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment are required.
