Job Overview – Senior Auditor:
Join an established company in the real estate sector as a Senior Auditor. This role involves leading and performing internal audits, continuous auditing, and providing management with valuable recommendations for process improvement. Compensation: $100,000.00 – $120,000.00 + bonus
Location: New York City

Responsibilities as the Senior Auditor include:

  • Collaborating with business process owners to understand the control environment
  • Preparing narratives, flowcharts, and risk assessment matrices
  • Finalizing planning and announcement memos
  • Conducting interviews with management and analyzing audit evidence
  • Documenting control design gaps and process improvement areas
  • Identifying and documenting audit issues and developing recommendations
  • Reviewing third-party service organization controls reports
  • Executing SOX section 404 controls testing
  • Coordinating with external auditors
  • Assisting in the preparation of the draft audit report

Qualifications for the Senior Auditor include:

  • 4 years of internal audit, business process consulting, or public accounting experience
  • 1 year of audit supervisory experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Auditing, or Finance
  • CIA, CPA, or MBA preferred
  • Ability to travel approximately 10%
  • Strong understanding of internal control
  • Experience in assessing control effectiveness and SOX 404 compliance
  • Knowledge of internal audit standards and accounting principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Negotiation and problem resolution abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office (JD Edwards and Workiva a plus)
