Job Overview – Senior Associate, Valuations (Hybrid):

Compensation: $130,000 – $180,000/year + bonus
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Responsibilities as the Senior Associate, Valuations:
- Valuation Analysis: Prepare detailed valuation models, perform financial statement analysis, and review valuation reports for quarterly valuations.
- Portfolio Assessment: Conduct quantitative and qualitative assessments on portfolio companies, including synthesizing financial data from deal and portfolio management teams.
- Industry Research: Identify relevant comparable public companies, M&A transactions, and industry-specific trends using resources like S&P Capital IQ.
- Financial Modeling: Construct and review financial analyses, including discounted cash flow, market multiples, and market transaction methodologies.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with portfolio teams on data collection and onboarding, supporting finance with equity models and investor accounts.
- Reporting & Presentations: Generate valuation results for committees, auditors, and partners, and prepare ad-hoc reports for leadership.
Qualifications for the Senior Associate, Valuations:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting required (CFA and/or CPA designation preferred).
- Experience: 5-6 years in Private Equity Valuation, Transaction Services, Hedge Funds, or third-party Valuation services.
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in valuation methods (DCF, market multiples, market transactions), equity allocation, and advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge Base: Familiarity with ASC 820 standards, Capital IQ, and iLevel; experience with Option Pricing Methods and Waterfall analysis is a plus.
- Skills: Excels in analysis, attention to detail, and communication, confidently engaging with senior leaders in fast-paced settings.
