Job Overview – Senior Associate, Fund Accounting (Private Equity)
Compensation: $150,000 – $160,000/year + bonus

Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior Associate, Fund Accounting (Private Equity) in New York, NY for our client, supporting private equity fund accounting, NAV calculations, and U.S. GAAP financial reporting. This in-office role oversees NAV finalization, investor allocations, fee calculations, and performance reporting while partnering with third-party administrators and internal teams to support audits, regulatory reporting, and firm-wide initiatives.
Responsibilities as the Senior Associate, Fund Accounting:
- NAV Oversight & Finalization: Oversee fund NAV finalization, including P&L reconciliation and investor-level allocations across private fund structures.
- Administrator & Fee Management: Review third-party administrator work and reconcile management fees, carried interest, and incentive fee calculations in accordance with governing documents.
- Capital Activity & Accounts: Review capital calls, distributions, and investor capital account statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Financial Statements & Audits: Prepare quarterly and annual U.S. GAAP financial statements and coordinate directly with external auditors.
- Reporting, Forecasting & Improvement: Deliver performance reporting and fund forecasts while partnering cross-functionally to support regulatory reporting and process enhancements.
Qualifications for the Senior Associate, Fund Accounting:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Experience: 5-10 years of progressive fund accounting experience within private equity, fund administration, or public and private accounting environments.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong experience with private equity fund accounting, including NAV calculations, capital activity, and U.S. GAAP reporting.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel proficiency required, with experience working alongside third-party fund administrators and reporting systems.
- Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented, analytical professional with strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a collaborative mindset.
