Job Overview – Senior Associate (Data & Valuations):
Compensation: $130,000 – $150,000/year + bonus
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Atlantic Group is hiring for our client’s Senior Associate (Data & Valuations) role in New York, NY (Hybrid). This opportunity is ideal for a finance professional with expertise in private equity valuations, data infrastructure, and performance reporting. You will lead quarterly valuations, optimize data systems, and collaborate across investment, finance, and investor relations teams to enhance reporting and analytics.
Responsibilities as the Senior Associate (Data & Valuations):
- Valuation Process Management: Oversee the quarterly valuation process, ensuring compliance with internal methodologies and accurate documentation.
- Data Integration & Infrastructure: Implement valuation models into Chronograph for portfolio monitoring, maintain data accuracy, and support ongoing system improvements.
- Performance & Investor Reporting: Streamline portfolio attribution analysis, prepare reports for fundraising and investor relations, and create presentation materials for valuation results.
- CRM & System Optimization: Enhance workflows in DealCloud for the investment and finance teams, supporting new software implementations and data flows.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with finance, investor relations, and investment teams to support data requests, streamline reporting, and improve system efficiencies.
Qualifications for the Senior Associate (Data & Valuations):
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.
- Experience: 4+ years of valuation experience, preferably from a Big 4 firm or similar, with a focus on private equity, illiquid assets, and portfolio valuations.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in DealCloud, Chronograph, and strong exposure to VBA, SQL, Python, or other data analytics tools.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial data effectively.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of private equity valuation methodologies, financial modeling, and performance reporting.
