Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)

Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior Accounting Manager for our client in Montgomery County, PA. This in-office role is ideal for a finance professional with experience in manufacturing, government contracting, and ERP systems such as Deltek or Costpoint. You’ll lead budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, support executive decision-making, and mentor junior staff. A strong opportunity for a Senior Accountant ready to grow into an Accounting Director-level role.

Responsibilities as the Senior Accounting Manager:

  • Financial Strategy & Leadership: Align financial planning with business goals, support capital planning, and advise senior leadership.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead budgeting processes, track performance, and analyze variances to drive financial accuracy.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to GAAP, FAR/DFAR, tax regulations, and DoD contract requirements.
  • Cost & Operational Analysis: Perform cost analyses, support manufacturing efficiency, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Government & Contract Support: Manage DPAS, non-conformance reporting, and other government financial requirements.
  • Team & Process Oversight: Supervise AP/AR, payroll, and tax filings while mentoring finance staff and enhancing team performance.

Qualifications for the Senior Accounting Manager:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required (MBA preferred).
  • Licensure: CPA strongly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in financial management, with expertise in manufacturing and experience handling federal or government-regulated contracts.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Excel proficiency, financial modeling, and familiarity with Deltek Costpoint or equivalent ERP systems.
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of FAR, DFAR, and related regulatory frameworks, with hands-on experience in QMS, DPAS, and government cost principles.
  • Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented, strategic leader with strong communication skills and the ability to excel under pressure in fast-paced environments.
