Compensation: $90,000 – $100,000/year + bonus
Location: Montgomery County, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior Accountant (Real Estate) in Montgomery County, PA for our client, an established real estate organization. This hybrid role handles accounting and financial reporting for complex real estate entities, including consolidations, capital transactions, and joint ventures. You will oversee monthly close processes, maintain compliance with reporting standards, and play a key role on a growing, collaborative finance team.

Responsibilities as the Senior Accountant (Real Estate):

  • Financial Reporting: Manage monthly close activities, journal entries, and reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Capital Transactions: Process and review capital contributions, distributions, and transfers while maintaining supporting documentation.
  • Consolidations & Eliminations: Oversee intercompany reconciliations and consolidation entries to ensure accurate financial results.
  • Expense & Performance Analysis: Analyze G&A expenses and fund-level performance to identify key drivers, anomalies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Joint Venture Accounting: Perform equity method accounting for joint ventures and non-controlling interests in consolidated entities.

Qualifications for the Senior Accountant (Real Estate):

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required (CPA preferred).
  • Experience: 3+ years of public accounting experience, with preferred background in real estate, fund accounting, or property management.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with preferred experience in Yardi, Blackline, and other ERP or accounting systems.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of GAAP accounting, consolidations, and joint venture structures within the real estate sector.
  • Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented and analytical professional with strong problem-solving abilities, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
