Job Overview – Senior Accountant (Management Company):
Take on a pivotal role as a Senior Accountant (Management Company) with our client in New York, NY. This hybrid opportunity is ideal for an experienced accounting professional seeking ownership over financial reporting, audit management, and cash flow analysis for multiple international offices. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial statements, optimizing reporting processes, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000/year + bonus
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Responsibilities as the Senior Accountant:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements for multiple foreign offices, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Audit & Compliance: Manage year-end audits, provide documentation, and address auditor inquiries.
- Cash Flow Management: Maintain cash projections, ensure proper fund allocation, and support forecasting.
- General Ledger & Expenses: Oversee ledger activity, validate account balances, and manage expense reporting.
- Process Improvement: Ensure policy adherence while identifying opportunities to enhance workflows.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Conduct account analysis, identify trends, and support internal reporting.
Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required (CPA preferred).
- Experience: 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public and private accounting, fund accounting, or corporate management company accounting.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in accounting principles, accrual accounting, financial statements, and general ledger systems, with advanced Excel skills in pivot tables, reporting, and automation.
- Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented self-starter with strong analytical, communication, and multitasking skills, able to collaborate effectively across all levels.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in professional services, private equity, or managing international office financials is a strong plus.
