Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior Accountant (Management Company) in New York, NY for our client, supporting accounts payable, expense management, and financial reporting within a growing investment management environment. In this hybrid role, you will oversee the full AP lifecycle, partner with finance leadership on close activities, and drive process improvements while leveraging ERP and expense management systems to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities as the Senior Accountant (Management Company):

  • Accounts Payable Oversight: Manage the full AP lifecycle, including invoice processing, coding, approvals, payments, and expense reimbursements.
  • Expense Allocation & Reporting: Ensure expenses are accurately recorded and allocated across departments and cost centers.
  • Month-End Close Support: Assist with accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis to support timely close processes.
  • Process Improvement & Systems: Enhance workflows, automation, and controls across AP and financial systems.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner cross-functionally to support timely processing and provide responsive internal service.

Qualifications for the Senior Accountant (Management Company):

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • Experience: 5-8 years of accounting experience with strong accounts payable and expense management exposure, ideally within financial services or a management company.
  • Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of accounting principles, expense allocation, financial controls, and close processes.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with ERP or expense management systems required, including Sage Intacct, StavPay, or similar, with advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills, a process improvement mindset, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
