Job Overview – Senior Accountant (Hybrid):
Join our client as a Senior Accountant in Philadelphia, PA, where you’ll support the Investment Accounting team in managing GAAP, STAT, and IFRS reporting for the Group Companies' investment portfolios. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the company’s financial reporting functions.

Compensation: $75,000 – $85,000/year + bonus
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Responsibilities as the Senior Accountant:

  • Financial Reporting: Support investment accounting processes for GAAP, STAT, IFRS, and management reporting, collaborating with internal and external auditors.
  • IFRS Implementation: Assist in the final adoption of IFRS #9 for financial instruments, including monthly and quarterly monitoring, journal entries, and financial disclosures.
  • Portfolio Management: Work closely with Investment Managers on performance reporting, forecasting, and financial disclosures under IFRS.
  • Reconciliations: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual investment account reconciliations and statutory reporting schedules.
  • Collaboration: Support the investment accounting team at NEAM, the third-party accounting administrator.
  • Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external use, adhering to GAAP, STAT, IFRS, and J-SOX compliance standards.

Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.
  • Experience: 2-4 years in Public Accounting or Finance, ideally with IFRS or Financial Services/Investments/Insurance.
  • Licensure: CPA preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of investment accounting concepts, financial reporting, and complex financial instruments.
  • Technological: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Other: Strong customer service orientation with a collaborative, consultative approach to working with business units.
