Job Overview – Senior Accountant (Hybrid):
Join our client’s complex and sophisticated single family office team in New York, NY, as a Senior Accountant, overseeing daily accounting and financial operations for individual clients and estates. This hybrid role demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and expertise in complex financial transactions and client relationships.
Compensation: $145,000 – $200,000/year + bonus
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Responsibilities as the Senior Accountant:
- Client Accounting: Oversee daily operations, cash management, and bill payments for individual clients and estates, ensuring all activities are accurately documented.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in coordination with the Family Office Administrator.
- Cash Management: Manage cash projection schedules to meet client liquidity needs and ensure accurate accounting treatment across all activities.
- Investment Support: Collaborate with legal and investment teams to support transaction execution and oversee the accurate recording of investments, capital calls, distributions, and valuations.
- Documentation: Maintain organized records of investment documents, portfolios, and other essential client data.
- Client Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing financial insights, responding to inquiries, and supporting day-to-day financial needs.
Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required (CPA or advanced degree preferred).
- Experience: 6-10 years of experience in Family Office Accounting required.
- Skills: Strong analytical abilities, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to synthesize complex data.
