Job Overview – Senior Accountant (Hybrid):
Step into the role of Senior Product Accountant with our private equity client in Philadelphia, PA. In this hybrid position, you’ll manage the preparation of annual and quarterly regulatory filings for both listed and non-listed BDCs, working closely with portfolio management to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Compensation: $90,000 – $120,000/year + bonus
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Responsibilities as the Senior Accountant:
- Regulatory Filings: Prepare annual and quarterly fund regulatory filings (Forms 10-Q, 10-K, N-CSR) for both listed and non-listed BDCs.
- Collaboration: Liaise with portfolio management teams on investment structuring and product performance budgeting.
- Fund Oversight: Oversee third-party fund accounting agents and administrators.
- Expense Management: Manage expense budgeting and payments for funds.
- Service Engagements: Support collaborations with service partners, including independent accountants, internal auditors, and tax compliance providers.
- Projects: Assist with special projects such as financial planning, tax, and policy initiatives.
Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Experience: 2-3 years in Public Accounting, preferably with a top-tier or mid-size firm.
- Certification: CPA preferred but not required.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in financial services and knowledge of U.S. GAAP, fund accounting, and the Investment Company Act of 1940.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office suite products.
