Job Overview – Senior Accountant (Family Office Services):
Take on a pivotal role with our client in New York, NY, as a Senior Accountant (Family Office Services) (Hybrid), managing financial operations, bill payment, and cash flow for high-net-worth clients. Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to ensure accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, and liquidity management. Ideal for a detail-oriented professional with expertise in family office services and investment monitoring.
Compensation: $100,000 – $125,000/year + bonus
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Responsibilities as the Senior Accountant (Family Office Services):
- Bill Payment & Cash Flow: Manage recurring and one-time expenses, ensuring timely payments and proper account funding.
- Client Onboarding & Accounts: Review invoices, document bills, and integrate clients into the Bill Payment platform.
- Financial Reporting & Budgeting: Prepare monthly or quarterly financial statements, including balance sheets and cash flow reports.
- Liquidity & Investment Oversight: Track investments, monitor liquidity, and ensure compliance with funding requirements.
- Loan & Insurance Management: Oversee payments for lines of credit, loans, and insurance premiums.
- Tax & Compliance Coordination: Work with tax accountants to manage tax payments and ensure regulatory compliance.
Qualifications for the Senior Accountant (Family Office Services):
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA strongly preferred).
- Experience: 3-5 years of accounting experience within a family office, private wealth management, or alternative investments.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Excel, financial reporting, and general ledger management, with experience in AgilLink or similar accounting software preferred.
- Investment & Tax Knowledge: Experience supporting alternative asset class investments and personal tax compliance.
- Analytical & Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented, execution-focused, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Client-Facing Experience: Prior experience in a client-facing role within public accounting, a multi-family office, or a single-family office.
