Job Overview – Senior Accountant (Corporate Accounting):
Compensation: $90,000 – $105,000/year + bonus
Location: Montgomery County, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior Accountant (Corporate Accounting) in Montgomery County, PA for our client, supporting month-end close, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting. In this hybrid role, you will prepare journal entries, perform account reconciliations, support audits, and ensure U.S. GAAP compliance while collaborating cross-functionally. You will leverage tools such as Excel and Workday Financials to drive accurate reporting, internal controls, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities as the Senior Accountant (Corporate Accounting):
- Month-End Close & Journal Entries: Prepare and review monthly journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules to ensure timely and accurate close processes.
- General Ledger & Reconciliations: Maintain detailed reconciliations for key balance sheet and income statement accounts, ensuring complete and accurate supporting documentation.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Assist with monthly internal reporting packages and perform variance analysis to support management decision-making.
- Audit, Controls & Compliance: Support internal controls and SOX compliance while partnering with external auditors on audits of corporate entities and partnerships.
- Research & Advisory Support: Research accounting issues, analyze financial data, and support regulatory requirements, filings, and contractual fee calculations.
Qualifications for the Senior Accountant (Corporate Accounting):
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
- Certification: CPA preferred.
- Experience: 4-6 years of corporate accounting experience, with preferred exposure to SEC reporting or public company environments.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting, with demonstrated experience supporting SOX 404 compliance.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel proficiency required, with experience using ERP systems such as Workday Financials preferred.
- Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented, analytical professional with strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
