Job Overview – Senior Accountant
Compensation: $75,000 – $90,000/year + bonus
Location: Easton, PA
Schedule: Monday – Friday (Primarily Onsite, Flexible Hours)

Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior Accountant in Easton, PA for our client, a growing manufacturing organization. This role is responsible for leading month-end close, financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and supporting budgeting and financial analysis initiatives. The ideal candidate has a blend of corporate accounting and financial reporting experience, enjoys process improvement, and is seeking long-term career growth within an established finance organization.
Responsibilities as the Senior Accountant:

  • Financial Reporting: Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities while preparing financial statements, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • General Ledger Accounting: Prepare and review journal entries, analyze general ledger accounts, and ensure accurate accounting in accordance with GAAP and internal controls.
  • Budgeting & Analysis: Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and ad hoc financial reporting to assist business decision-making.
  • Audit & Compliance: Coordinate internal and external audits while supporting compliance with GAAP, SOX, and corporate accounting policies.
  • Team Collaboration: Partner with finance and operational teams, provide guidance to junior accounting staff, and support cross-functional accounting initiatives.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, support ERP implementation initiatives, and contribute to operational efficiency projects.

Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: 3–7+ years of accounting experience in a corporate, manufacturing, or public accounting environment is required.
  • Industry Knowledge: Manufacturing experience is preferred. Experience with financial reporting, month-end close, GAAP, and internal controls is preferred as well.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software or ERP systems is required. Experience with CSI, ERP implementations, business intelligence tools, or similar platforms is preferred.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail, the ability to manage competing priorities, lead accounting processes, and drive continuous process improvement within a collaborative finance environment.
