Job Overview – Senior Accountant:
Compensation: $110,000 – $135,000/year + bonus
Location: Montgomery County, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)

Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior Accountant in Montgomery County, PA for our client. In this in-office role, you will lead core accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, and internal controls. You will also support system migrations from QuickBooks to NetSuite and help transition outsourced functions in-house within a SOX environment. This role is well-suited for candidates with Big 4 or public accounting experience seeking a high-impact position in a fast-growing organization.

Responsibilities as the Senior Accountant:

  • Daily Accounting Operations: Execute journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and core accounting activities across cash, receivables, and payables.
  • Month-End Close: Manage close tasks including reconciliations, variance analysis, supporting schedules, and process enhancements to shorten close timelines.
  • Process Optimization: Improve and automate workflows such as cash management, accrual estimation, credit card expenses, prepaids, and lease schedules.
  • Systems & Migration: Support the GL transition from QuickBooks to NetSuite and assist with migrating outsourced functions to in-house accounting.
  • Internal Controls & Audit: Contribute to internal control documentation and testing while preparing schedules and documentation for external audit requirements.

Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required (CPA strongly preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Big 4 audit experience with SEC clients, ideally within public accounting or a public company environment.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with accounting systems and ERP platforms (NetSuite preferred), with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Industry Knowledge: Background in financial services or related industries, with familiarity in SOX-controlled environments and CECL preferred.
  • Skills & Attributes: Analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment with strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
