Job Overview – SEC Reporting Manager
Compensation: $125,000–$155,000/year + bonus
Location: Remote
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Remote)
Atlantic Group is hiring an SEC Reporting Manager for our client, supporting SEC reporting, technical accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance within a professional services environment. This role will work across a variety of client projects involving SEC filings, technical accounting matters, transaction support, and financial reporting initiatives. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of public accounting experience plus 1+ year of accounting advisory or consulting experience, with significant hands-on SEC reporting expertise.
Responsibilities as the SEC Reporting Manager:
- SEC Reporting: Prepare and review SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy statements, and related public company reporting requirements.
- Technical Accounting: Research and analyze complex accounting matters while developing recommendations and supporting documentation in accordance with US GAAP.
- Accounting Advisory: Support clients with financial reporting, technical accounting, regulatory reporting, and other complex accounting initiatives.
- Transaction Support: Support transaction-related accounting and reporting matters while providing financial analysis and technical accounting guidance.
- Process Improvement: Evaluate financial reporting and accounting processes while strengthening controls, procedures, and reporting workflows.
- Client Management: Manage multiple client engagements and priorities while communicating technical accounting matters and recommendations to key stakeholders.
Qualifications for the SEC Reporting Manager:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Experience: 5+ years of public accounting experience is required, including 1+ year of accounting advisory, consulting, or related financial reporting experience.
- Industry Knowledge: Significant SEC reporting experience is required, including hands-on public company filing experience and strong knowledge of US GAAP and technical accounting standards.
- Technical Skills: Advanced financial reporting, technical accounting research, and Microsoft Excel skills are required.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong client service, analytical, technical accounting, communication, organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills are required, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
