Our client’s finance team is hiring a Revenue Manager in Boston, MA (Hybrid) to lead revenue recognition, accounts receivable, and ASC 606 compliance. Ideal for an experienced accounting professional with strong U.S. GAAP expertise and leadership experience, this role focuses on improving reporting accuracy, strengthening internal controls, and delivering revenue insights that drive business decisions.

Responsibilities as the Revenue Manager:

  • Revenue Oversight: Lead revenue and AR accounting through month-end close, ensuring accuracy across all revenue accounts.
  • GAAP Compliance: Maintain revenue recognition policies in line with ASC 606 and other applicable GAAP standards.
  • Contract Review: Analyze customer contracts for proper revenue treatment and advise on complex arrangements.
  • Business Partnership: Support key business segments with revenue-related guidance and decision-making.
  • Audit & Reporting: Manage revenue audit requests, prepare support documentation, and assist with reporting needs.
  • System & Process Improvement: Partner with Finance Systems and FP&A to optimize Workday FMS and streamline reporting.

Qualifications for the Revenue Manager:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Experience: 6+ years of revenue accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Excel and experienced in Workday FMS, with strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606 for revenue recognition.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage priorities, provide clear revenue guidance, and handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
