Job Overview – Revenue Accounting Supervisor:
Compensation: $115,000 – $125,000/year
Location: Boston, MA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Revenue Accounting Supervisor for our client in Boston, MA. In this hybrid role, you will lead revenue accounting and accounts receivable operations, ensure ASC 606 and GAAP compliance, manage month-end close activities, and resolve billing and cash application issues. Ideal for accounting professionals with leadership experience and expertise in revenue recognition and Workday or similar ERP systems.
Responsibilities as the Revenue Accounting Supervisor:
- Revenue Operations Oversight: Supervise the revenue and accounts receivable team, ensuring accurate invoicing, cash application, and revenue recognition across all practice areas.
- Compliance & Issue Resolution: Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and ASC 606, proactively identify and resolve billing and revenue recognition issues, and recommend process improvements.
- Financial Close & Reporting: Prepare journal entries and revenue-related reports for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, and provide analysis for senior management.
- Collaboration: Act as primary point of contact for external auditors and internal project teams to resolve revenue-related inquiries and support operational needs.
- Leadership & Development: Drive team engagement through coaching and mentoring, monitor productivity, and oversee training and professional development initiatives.
Qualifications for the Revenue Accounting Supervisor:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Experience: 5+ years of revenue accounting and accounts receivable experience in large corporate environments, with deep knowledge of ASC 606 and GAAP compliance.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Workday or other enterprise accounting systems, with strong analytical and financial reporting capabilities.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong leadership and change management skills with excellent organization, communication, and analytical abilities to drive performance improvements.
