Job Overview – Reconciliation Manager (Cash and Positions):
Become a Reconciliation Manager with our client in New York, NY, where you will manage daily cash and position reconciliations, working with custodians, prime brokers, and clients to resolve discrepancies. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with accounting and operations teams.
Compensation: $90,000 – $135,000/year + bonus
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Responsibilities as the Reconciliation Manager:
- Daily Reconciliation: Perform daily cash and position reconciliations with trustees, custodians, and prime brokers.
- Resolution: Resolve cash breaks and discrepancies, and respond to client and custodian inquiries.
- Reporting: Track daily account activity and prepare reports for operations and investment teams.
- Administration: Oversee the reconciliation platform and administer loan data contract feeds into the accounting system.
- Collaboration: Assist accounting and fund administration teams with month-end book closings and audit confirmations.
- Data Management: Maintain physical and book-entry positions and ensure accurate database reconciliations.
Qualifications for the Reconciliation Manager:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Experience: 4-7 years of Financial Operations or Accounting experience at a Bank, Asset Manager, or Fund Administrator.
- Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with investment products like bonds, bank loans, swaps, options, and equities.
- Preferred: Experience with reconciliation systems (iHS Markit, Advent Geneva) and fixed income operations is a plus.
