Job Overview – Real Estate Accountant (Construction)
Compensation: $60,000 – $80,000/year

Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Real Estate Accountant (Construction) in Chester County, PA for our client, supporting residential construction accounting and job cost financial operations. In this in-office role, you will manage job cost accounting, bank draws, invoicing, and reconciliations across multiple projects and entities. You will work closely with ownership while leveraging QuickBooks and Excel to ensure accurate financial tracking, timely funding, and reliable reporting.
Responsibilities as the Real Estate Accountant (Construction):
- Job Cost Accounting: Perform daily QuickBooks accounting with a strong focus on job cost accounting across multiple construction projects and properties.
- Bank Draw Preparation: Prepare and submit weekly construction bank draws, including Excel budgets, check registers, and invoice support for lenders and investors.
- Accounts Payable & Invoicing: Enter and code vendor invoices, process customer and option payment invoicing, and ensure accurate cost allocation by job and site.
- Budget Setup & Monitoring: Enter, maintain, and monitor job, home, and site budgets in QuickBooks using established coding structures.
- Bank Reconciliations & Cash Management: Complete bank reconciliations, manage deposits, and monitor cash activity across multiple accounts and entities.
Qualifications for the Real Estate Accountant (Construction):
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Experience: 2+ years of accounting experience in residential construction, homebuilding, or real estate, with hands-on job cost accounting experience.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in QuickBooks with job cost accounting required, along with solid working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with construction accounting workflows, bank draw processes, budget tracking, and multi-entity accounting structures.
- Skills & Attributes: Highly organized, detail-oriented professional with strong time management skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple projects.
