Job Overview – Quality Inspector:
Join our client’s team as a Quality Inspector, responsible for ensuring the quality of parts through testing, measuring, and problem identification. This full-time role involves working both in the quality office and on the manufacturing floor, handling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Location: Essex County, NJ
Compensation: $45,000 – $55,000/year
Schedule: Monday to Friday (On-Site)
Responsibilities as the Quality Inspector:
- Inspection: Perform dimensional inspections of materials and components using tools like calipers and micrometers.
- Documentation: Complete first piece inspections and maintain accurate quality records.
- Compliance: Follow GD&T methods and Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP).
- Problem Solving: Identify and report root causes of non-conforming materials.
- Communication: Coordinate effectively with departments and vendors, ensuring document accuracy.
Qualifications for the Quality Inspector:
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a Quality department.
- Skills: Proficient in reading drawings/specifications and using inspection tools.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AS9100, ISO9001, SPC, and calibration is a plus.
