Job Overview – Project Accounting Analyst
Compensation: $65,000 – $75,000/year + bonus
Location: Chester County, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Project Accounting Analyst in Chester County, PA for our client, supporting project accounting, profitability analysis, cost tracking, billing, and financial reporting within a project-based environment. This role will partner with accounting, finance, and operations teams to monitor project performance, analyze costs, support invoicing activities, and ensure accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate has an accounting or finance background, strong analytical skills, and an interest in project-driven industries such as construction, engineering, real estate, or professional services.
Responsibilities as the Project Accounting Analyst:
- Project Analysis: Analyze project financial performance, profitability, budgets, forecasts, and operational metrics to support business decision-making.
- Cost Management: Monitor project costs, prepare accruals, review expenses, and ensure accurate financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Billing Support: Assist with project invoicing, revenue tracking, billing reconciliation, and client-related financial activities.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare project reports, variance analyses, and financial summaries for accounting, finance, and operational leadership.
- Data Management: Maintain project financial records, validate data accuracy, and support reporting initiatives across multiple projects.
Qualifications for the Project Accounting Analyst:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is required.
- Experience: 1+ years of accounting, finance, audit, project accounting, or financial analysis experience is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience within construction, engineering, real estate, professional services, or other project-based industries is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP systems, financial reporting tools, Sage Intacct, Procore, or similar platforms are preferred.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with a proactive, dependable, and collaborative approach are required.
