Compensation: $150,000 – $200,000/year + bonus

Atlantic Group is hiring an Operations Manager (Private Credit) in New York, NY for our client, supporting investment operations, trade lifecycle management, and operational oversight within an alternative investment environment. This leadership role partners closely with investment, finance, technology, and external service providers while driving process improvements, mentoring team members, and enhancing operational efficiency across a diverse credit platform. The ideal candidate brings strong private credit operations experience, advanced Excel skills, and a technology-forward mindset.
Responsibilities as the Operations Manager (Private Credit):
- Investment Operations: Oversee the operational lifecycle for private credit investments, including trade settlement, cash activity, reconciliations, and portfolio support across multiple investment strategies.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and support junior operations professionals while helping manage daily workflows, priorities, and operational best practices.
- Process Improvement: Lead automation initiatives, optimize operational workflows, and identify opportunities to improve controls, reporting, and scalability.
- Vendor & Counterparty Management: Coordinate with fund administrators, custodians, lenders, trustees, and other external partners to ensure timely and accurate transaction processing.
- Reporting & Controls: Monitor operational reporting, reconcile investment activity, and strengthen internal controls to support accurate financial and investment records.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with investment professionals, finance, compliance, and technology teams to support new investment activity, system enhancements, and strategic operational initiatives.
Qualifications for the Operations Manager (Private Credit):
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field is required.
- Experience: 8–12 years of investment operations experience supporting private credit, direct lending, syndicated loans, structured credit, CLOs, asset-backed securities, or similar alternative investment products is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of alternative investment operations, trade lifecycle management, cash management, portfolio servicing, and investment operations processes is required.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required. Experience with automation tools, investment operations platforms, and process improvement initiatives is strongly preferred.
- Skills & Attributes: Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to mentor team members, manage multiple priorities, solve complex operational challenges, and communicate effectively across cross-functional teams.
