Job Overview – Operations Associate (Hedge Funds):
Compensation: $140,000 – $175,000/year + bonus
Location: Stamford, CT
Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)

Atlantic Group is seeking an Operations Associate on behalf of our client in Stamford, CT, to oversee trade lifecycle management across a multi-asset hedge fund platform. You’ll handle execution, reconciliation, and settlement for equities, credit, derivatives, and illiquid assets while coordinating with outsourced providers and supporting operational controls.

Responsibilities as the Operations Associate:

  • Trade Booking & Allocation: Ensure timely and accurate trade bookings in OMS, confirm settlements, and validate trade allocation across fund structures.
  • Lifecycle Event Oversight: Book and reconcile corporate actions, loan paydowns, PIKs, rollovers, and other lifecycle events in coordination with outsourced teams.
  • Asset Class Coverage: Supports operational workflows across public and private markets, including equities, credit, derivatives, and illiquid assets.
  • Outsourced Vendor Management: Oversee trade matching, settlements, and reconciliations handled by fund administrators and loan closers.
  • Break Resolution: Monitor and escalate trade, cash, and position breaks across counterparties, PBs, and fund administrators.
  • Reconciliation & Reporting: Validate daily cash, position, and P&L reconciliations, ensuring consistency across internal systems and external records.

Qualifications for the Operations Associate:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.
  • Experience: 4-8 years of operations experience at a hedge fund, asset manager, or investment bank, with expertise in credit instruments and derivatives.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel, with preferred experience using LayerOne (OMS) and Indus Valley Partners (IVP) for trade operations and data management.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong problem-solving and organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines, resolve time-sensitive issues, and work collaboratively in complex, high-volume environments.
