Job Overview – Operations Analyst (Valuations):
Atlantic Group is hiring an Operations Analyst (Valuations) for our client in New York, NY (Hybrid), supporting valuation processes, financial data management, and operational workflows. In this role, you will assist with portfolio valuations, ensure reporting accuracy, and collaborate with teams to enhance valuation procedures. This role emphasizes process execution and data integrity, making it ideal for candidates with experience in financial operations, product control, or P&L analysis.
Compensation: $90,000 – $120,000/year + bonus
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Responsibilities as the Operations Analyst (Valuations):
- Portfolio Valuation Management: Oversee internal valuation processes for all investments, including private investments and hard-to-value assets.
- Financial Modeling & Analysis: Review and deconstruct valuation models, rebuilding them as needed to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with business units, risk management, accounting, operations, tax, and legal teams to resolve valuation-related matters.
- Operational Oversight: Manage data integrity, reporting, product control, and P&L functions to optimize valuation and financial analysis workflows.
Qualifications for the Operations Analyst (Valuations):
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in valuation, financial modeling, product control, and P&L analysis within financial services.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Excel (including VBA), financial modeling, and valuation techniques, with additional exposure to SQL or Python for data analysis.
- Skills & Attributes: Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience with private investments, alternative assets, or Level 3 investment valuation is highly desirable.
