Atlantic Group is hiring an Operational Due Diligence Analyst (Investment Management) for our client in Baltimore, MD (Hybrid). In this key role, you will lead operational due diligence for external investment managers, conducting risk assessments, analyzing financials and fund documents, and delivering insights to leadership. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with experience in operational due diligence, risk reporting, portfolio operations, or audit, with strong Microsoft Office proficiency.
Responsibilities as the Operational Due Diligence Analyst:
- Due Diligence & Risk Assessment: Conduct reviews of investment managers’ financials, regulatory filings, fund documents, valuation methodologies, and background checks.
- Manager Engagement: Participate in diligence meetings with investment managers, service providers, and key stakeholders to assess operational risks.
- Documentation & Monitoring: Maintain comprehensive records of diligence findings and ongoing monitoring in accordance with firm policies.
- Industry Awareness: Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices impacting operational due diligence.
- External Partnerships: Work with background check providers and consultants to strengthen the firm’s risk analysis.
- Travel & Compliance: Travel domestically and internationally to meet investment managers and support internal compliance initiatives and special projects.
Qualifications for the Operational Due Diligence Analyst:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required.
- Experience: 3-8 years of experience in operational due diligence, portfolio operations, accounting, or risk reporting within investment management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), with strong data aggregation and presentation skills.
- Skills & Attributes: Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, and notetaking skills, with the ability to manage priorities and collaborate in a fast-paced professional environment.
