Job Overview – Manager/Senior Manager (Indirect Tax):
Join our dynamic team as a Manager/Senior Manager Indirect Tax in New York City. This hybrid role offers an exciting opportunity for professionals with a background in Big 4 public/private CPA and 5-7 years of experience specializing in indirect tax.
Location: New York, NY
Compensation: $150,000 – $175,000/year + equity
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities as the Manager/Senior Manager (Indirect Tax):
- Oversee global indirect tax return filings and develop internal tax policies.
- Lead and enhance recurring functions and spearhead new projects.
- Conduct comprehensive risk and opportunity analysis.
- Support the month-end close process, including tax accruals and account reconciliations.
- Coordinate and process tax payments to various government entities.
- Drive process improvements and efficiency initiatives.
- Lead external audit coordination and support.
- Collaborate with finance, accounting, IT, and management reporting teams.
- Ensure tax compliance for new business initiatives.
Qualifications of the Manager/Senior Manager (Indirect Tax):
- Minimum 5 years of indirect tax experience.
- CPA preferred.
- Experience with NetSuite ERP is advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, detail orientation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Excel preferred.
