Job Overview – Manager of SEC Reporting (Hybrid):
Take on a key role with our client as a Manager of SEC Reporting in Chester, PA. This hybrid position is ideal for an experienced accounting professional with expertise in SEC reporting, compliance, and financial statement preparation. You will oversee regulatory filings, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure adherence to evolving accounting standards and compliance requirements, including ESG reporting.

Compensation: $120,000 – $125,000/year + bonus
Location: Chester, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Responsibilities as the Manager of SEC Reporting:

  • SEC Filings & Compliance: Prepare and file accurate SEC reports (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) while ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SOX.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Accounting, Legal, Tax, Treasury, and Investor Relations on earnings materials and disclosures.
  • Financial Statement Oversight: Lead financial statement preparation and contribute to annual proxy statement development.
  • Regulatory & ESG Reporting: Stay ahead of accounting standards, SEC regulations, and evolving ESG disclosure requirements.
  • M&A Support: Assist with financial reporting and integration efforts for mergers and acquisitions.
  • Audit & Internal Controls: Maintain SEC reporting calendars, ensure strong internal controls, and coordinate with auditors.

Qualifications for the Manager of SEC Reporting:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in accounting or finance, with prior experience as a Manager or Senior Manager in Big Four or top-tier public accounting firms.
  • Certification: CPA required.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of SEC reporting regulations, US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and consolidation reporting systems.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required, with experience in Workiva WDesk considered a plus.
  • Skills & Attributes: Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities, with a strategic approach to financial reporting and compliance.
  • Industry Knowledge: Background in financial reporting, accounting policies, auditing, and SEC filing requirements.
