Job Overview – Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
Take on a strategic leadership role as the Manager of FP&A with our client in Stamford, CT, where you’ll oversee financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes while driving cost-saving and operational efficiency initiatives. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to collaborate with management and business owners, delivering actionable insights that support growth and operational excellence.

Compensation: $115,000 – $130,000/year + bonus
Location: Stamford, CT
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Responsibilities as the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis:

  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop monthly, annual, and multi-year plans and forecasts for consolidated and location-specific P&Ls.
  • Financial Analysis: Perform variance analysis for P&Ls, balance sheets, and cashflows, identifying trends and opportunities for growth or cost reduction.
  • Operational Reporting: Prepare lender materials, compliance certificates, and revenue cycle reports, analyzing payor and procedure rates and volume trends.
  • Process Optimization: Lead initiatives to improve reporting efficiency and enhance financial systems as a subject matter expert on finance and data warehouse systems.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise analysts in Finance and Cash Management functions, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

Qualifications for the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance required (MBA preferred).
  • Experience: 4-7+ years of experience in Public Accounting or Private Sector Financial Analysis (healthcare industry experience preferred).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel (Power BI and Power Pivots required), with knowledge of SAGE accounting systems as a plus.
  • Attributes: Highly disciplined, organized, and skilled in interpersonal and written communication, with the ability to thrive in entrepreneurial and unstructured environments.
  • Analytical Expertise: Proven experience in financial modeling and leveraging technology for data-driven insights.
