Job Overview – Maintenance Supervisor:
Do you have strong technical skills and experience in maintenance supervision? Our client is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Supervisor to join their team in New Jersey. This role involves repairing machinery for bottling lines and packing lines, assigning work orders, training staff, and ensuring proper maintenance of machinery.
Location: Ocean Township, NJ
Compensation: $85,000 – $90,000/year
Schedule: 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities as the Maintenance Supervisor:
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics and testing equipment.
- Work Order Management: Triage and prioritize work orders, assigning them to technicians to ensure timely repairs and effective operation of equipment.
- Staff Training: Train maintenance staff to modify, lubricate, diagnose, and operate equipment.
- Problem Resolution: Partner with maintenance staff and supervisors to resolve issues with machinery or equipment operation.
- Compliance: Execute all required SQF/HACCP/Quality policies and fill out the accompanying documentation.
- Documentation: Implement and maintain a system for maintenance issues, ensuring all documentation is filled out properly and completely.
- Personnel Management: Keep track of timecards for all maintenance personnel, perform disciplinary procedures as needed, and evaluate employee progress.
- Preventative Maintenance: Ensure technicians complete their assigned monthly preventative maintenance schedules.
Qualifications for the Maintenance Supervisor:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Technical or Vocational School Diploma in Industrial Maintenance preferred.
- Management Experience: Prior management and/or supervisory experience is mandatory.
- Technical Knowledge: Experience with electrical systems, plumbing systems, welding, and/or machinery repair is mandatory.
