Job Overview – M&A Associate (Remote):
Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000/year + bonus
Location: Remote Role (East Coast Hours)
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Remote)
Atlantic Group is hiring an M&A Associate (Remote) to support strategic merger and acquisition initiatives for our client. This fully remote role, aligned to East Coast business hours, requires strong financial modeling, deal execution, and due diligence expertise. Ideal candidates come from investment banking, private equity, or transaction advisory and excel at managing third-party advisors and preparing board-level presentations.
Responsibilities as the M&A Associate:
- Deal Execution: Lead end-to-end execution of add-on transactions, including financial modeling, valuation, and diligence coordination.
- Due Diligence & Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analyses and support accounting, tax, legal, and IT due diligence workstreams.
- Advisor Management: Oversee third-party advisors on Quality of Earnings reports, risk assessments, and integration activities.
- Presentation & Reporting: Prepare board-level materials, investor decks, and underwriting recommendations supported by clear financial models.
- Leadership Support: Collaborate with executive leadership to develop strategic materials for board meetings and cross-functional discussions.
Qualifications for the M&A Associate:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field required.
- Experience: 1-4 years of experience in M&A, investment banking, transaction advisory, private equity, or corporate development.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills required, with proficiency in accounting principles and valuation techniques.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the transaction lifecycle including deal structuring, due diligence, negotiation, and integration.
- Skills & Attributes: Excellent project management, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to deliver executive-ready insights and collaborate across senior stakeholders.
- Additional: Minimal travel required and must be able to work effectively in a remote setting aligned with East Coast business hours.
