Job Overview – Investment Analyst (Private Equity)
Compensation: $90,000 – $110,000/year + bonus
Location: Stamford, CT
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Atlantic Group is hiring an Investment Analyst (Private Equity) in Stamford, CT for our client, supporting LP-led secondary private equity investments through financial analysis, due diligence, and market research. In this hybrid role, you will partner with senior investment professionals, fund managers, and intermediaries while preparing investment materials and supporting portfolio and investor reporting.

Responsibilities as the Investment Analyst (Private Equity):

  • Investment Analysis & Due Diligence: Analyze LP-led secondary private equity opportunities through financial modeling, valuation analysis, external due diligence, and market research.
  • Transaction Execution Support: Support the structuring, negotiation, and legal execution of secondary transactions in partnership with senior team members and external advisors.
  • Investment Committee Materials: Prepare investment memoranda, financial analysis, and recommendations for Investment Committee review and approval.
  • Market & Industry Research: Conduct research on private equity market trends, regulatory developments, and industry dynamics to inform investment decisions.
  • Pipeline Management & Reporting: Manage the secondary deal pipeline, participate in calls with fund managers and intermediaries, and support portfolio updates and investor reporting.

Qualifications for the Investment Analyst (Private Equity):

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field required.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in valuation, public accounting, investment banking, consulting, or investment management, with exposure to private equity or alternative investments preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of financial statements, valuation methodologies, capital structures, and private and public market investment concepts.
  • Technical Skills: Strong financial modeling and forecasting skills, with advanced Excel proficiency required.
  • Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented, self-motivated professional with strong written and verbal communication skills, an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced investment environment.
