Job Overview – Hedge Fund Operations Associate
Compensation: $150,000 – $200,000/year + bonus

Atlantic Group is hiring a Hedge Fund Operations Associate in the New York metropolitan area for our client, supporting investment operations for a rapidly growing alternative investment manager. This role is responsible for overseeing daily trade operations, reconciliations, valuation oversight, portfolio financing, regulatory reporting, and operational controls across a multi-asset investment platform. The ideal candidate has hedge fund operations experience, thrives in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, and is eager to play a key role within a high-growth investment firm.
Responsibilities as the Hedge Fund Operations Associate:
- Investment Operations: Oversee daily trade, position, and cash reconciliations while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of portfolio data across multiple asset classes.
- Portfolio Support: Maintain portfolio management systems, monitor shadow accounting records, and support operational processes related to equities, derivatives, and other investment products.
- Valuation & Financing: Support valuation oversight, monitor portfolio financing and margin requirements, and coordinate cash and position movements to optimize financing activities.
- Vendor & Counterparty Management: Partner with prime brokers, custodians, fund administrators, and other service providers to ensure efficient daily operational workflows and timely issue resolution.
- Reporting & Controls: Prepare internal management reports, client reporting packages, regulatory filings, and maintain strong operational controls and documentation.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance operational processes, improve controls, and support the implementation of new systems and workflow efficiencies.
Qualifications for the Hedge Fund Operations Associate:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Experience: 4–7 years of hedge fund operations experience is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience supporting investment operations across equities, options, swaps, credit derivatives, and other complex financial instruments is required.
- Technical Skills: Experience with portfolio management, trade reconciliation, and investment operations systems is required. Experience with Enfusion is strongly preferred.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication and relationship management abilities. Candidates with a strong academic background and demonstrated leadership experience are highly preferred.
